Gannett’s big strike, two moves at NY Times, Philly’s new anchor at NBC station 

Gannett’s gone from printing the news to making it, as staffers are striking to protest the leadership of CEO Mike Reed (pictured). At the NY Times, Susan Hopkins is taking on Page One selection duties, while Hurubie Meko will cover criminal justice. And in Philly, WCAU-TV Ch. 10 has hired Fred Shropshire as an anchor.
